Gears PSD

Imagery is so important in stimulating behavior. After reviewing a number of different icons and sanded metal imagery online I mashed up this file. Without a doubt this is a must have file even if its only for tutorial purposes. Gears PSD is obviously built in Photoshop.

macIIsiPhotoshop is an incredible tool. It seems like it was just yesterday I was installing Photoshop Version 2 on a Mac IIsi. The install would take hours so when installing this on several machines in my uncle’s design studio it would take half a day for 7 machines and that was fast at the time.

I think it took almost 10 floppies to install PS. Running filters was a complete grass watching experience. A lot has changed from the early nineties to now. Fast forward a few decades and you can download the Photoshop Master Suite in hours, but I digress.

Here are some feature in Gears PSD:

Gears PSD LayersThis is no where near as nice as the Apple settings icon of which this is just an attempt at such awesomeness. Gears PSD has Layers which should be fully understandable even to the most basic Photoshop user. As well within those layers are scalable background patterns (I didn’t create). Gears PSD also has an excellent sanded metal that can be applied to other projects.

You may use this project for both personal and commercial work what you may not do is redistribute this or resell this as your own work. Please feel free to use Gears PSD.
